GlobalGamers Xonotic CTF Mapping Contest - Posted by Etrigan on April 26, 2012

GlobalGamers Network presents a CTF mapping contest for the Xonotic community. Our goal behind this contest is to acquire new maps and to stir and challenge the talented artists of the community. Anyone is allowed and encouraged to participate, and we're looking forward to seeing what you can do!

If you're not familiar with the game Xonotic, here's a quick summary of what and who they are:

Xonotic is a free (GPL), fast-paced first-person shooter that works on Windows, OS X and Linux. The project is geared towards providing addictive arena shooter gameplay which is all spawned and driven by the community itself. Xonotic is a direct successor of the Nexuiz project with years of development between them, and it aims to become the best possible open-source FPS (first-person-shooter) of its kind.

The mapping contest will begin today, April 26th and will end in 3 months time on July 26th. There are some rules to abide by but that won't turn off the fate at heart. In the near future, a Google poll will be open for all to vote on the maps provided to declare the winners.
