How To Utilize KVirc to connect to GlobalGamers

1. Once downloaded, go to the directory where you downloaded it at and double-click on the file.

2. Click Next > Set your destination folder where you want it installed (if you're not sure, leave them be and hit next) (Make sure to set the options for start menu and quick icons to your choosing)

3. Once you pick your settings and options, click on "Install"

4. After it has been installed, open the program and a similar welcome screen will appear (depending which version you obtained):

5. Click "Next" in the welcome screen. You will come up at the "License Agreement" screen, if you have read and agreed to it, proceed to click "Next"

6. Its time to pick a nickname you will use for your IRC experience in GlobalGamers, type it in the "Nickname" field you see below:

7. The following screen will ask you where you want to save your configurations and downloadable files from IRC (If you are unsure what this means, leave them be and click "Next")

8. Next, pick the theme of your choosing. Read the description for each one to see what it entails.

9. Pick an answer if you want a shortcut to the program on your desktop.

10. Again, choose an answer if you want to set KVirc as your default application for IRC (If you're unsure what this means, choose "Yes")

11. Once you are happy with the settings then click on "Finish"

12. When you finish installing it, the program will open automically. In front of you, you will see a list of IRC Networks that has been added already. Since GlobalGamers isn't listed on there, we have to list it so it is accessible at a later time. Click on the little world icon that is being highlighted in the image below:

Type "GlobalGamers" without the quotes to make a fresh IRC Network listing.

13. Click on the button below the world icon to add a server to the newly added "IRC network" that you did in step 12 and fill in the following information:

14. Click on the button "Advanced" and it'll take you to a screen with alot more options:

15. Fill in your Nickname in the "Nickname" field:

16. Click on the "On Login" tab and put your NickServ information in the following format:

"raw ns auth account password"

17. Once finished, click on "Ok" then proceed to click on "Connect Now"

18. If it connects and auths you to your NickServ account then you succeeded, if it didn't then let us know if you keep having trouble.

19. CONGRATULATIONS! You have successfully installed and configured KVirc correctly for IRC.
